My Background
When I was little, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded. My inspirations have grown as the media continues to influence my personal stories. Books such as Iron Widow, The Scorpio races, and The Maze Runner series have played a large part in the growth of my creations.
My love for dragons began when I was a year old. My grandmother bought me a huge dragon I named Georgie. We attended St. George's church and St. George was considered a dragon slayer. I never thought of dragons as bad. I loved my huge, stuffed dragon and he inspired me to draw and paint many more in my lifetime.
My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as pencils, pens, acrylics, oils, water colors and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My Inspiration
I enjoy hiking, swimming, photography, and riding horses in my spare time. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by experiences in nature, water, or riding. Many of my characters have been influenced by those around me. I adore taking plants, animals, or even the elements itself to create something new. Whether or not that creation is a dragon, person, abstract staging painting, digital art or story depends on the day. I'm often taken aback by the sheer beauty of this earth and its inhabitants. It's safe to say that life inspires me!
